The distribution of PPEs by the UNFPA through Women’s Health and Action Research Centre got to Lagos State, on Friday, 23rd of April, 2021.
Mr. Brian Igboin of WHARC who presented the items to the Permanent Secretary Lagos state primary health care board stated that the items include;
- 15,000 piece of short gloves
- 200 pieces of safety goggles
- 15,000 pieces of surgical mask
- 10,000 of long gloves
- 1000 bottles of hand sanitizers
- 1000 bottles of liquid soap
- 1000 bottles of disinfectant
He further stated that the items will be distributed to the 32 primary health facilities selected for the UNFPA CSOE project in 3 Local Government Area which include Alimosho, Eti-osa and Ikeja. The distribution of items according to him, will be facilitated by 2 Civil Society Organizations (CSO), namely; Hacey Health Initiative and Star Girl Foundation working in the 3 LGAs.
