The distribution of PPEs by the UNFPA through Women’s Health and Action Research Centre got to Lagos State, on Friday, 23rd of April, 2021.
The distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by UNFPA through WHARC continues in Akwa Ibom state.
The project is aimed at Engaging Civil Society Organizations to Reverse Negative Impact of COVID-19 on Equal Access to Essential Health Services.
According to WHARC’s Program Officer, Brian Igboin during the donation event held on Thursday, 22nd of April, 2021 by 11am at the Department of Multilateral and Donor Agency (DMDA), Akwa Ibom State, the PPEs are to be distributed to the 32 health for under the project.
This distribution will be facilitated by the CSOs working in the three LGAs namely; Eket, Uyo and Ikot Ekpene.
Items which made up the PPEs include;
1. 30 cartons of short gloves (15,000 pieces)
2. 30 cartons of surgical facemask (15,000 pieces)
3. 20 cartons of long gloves (10,000 pieces)
4. 83 cartons of hand sanitizer (1,000 pieces)
5. 83 cartons of liquid soap (1,000 pieces)
6. 83 cartons of hypo (1,000 pieces)
7. 1 cartons of safety goggles (200 pieces)
