The Women’s Health and Action Research Centre (WHARC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1993 to promote the health and social well-being of women through action-research, evidence-based advocacy, training and service delivery on reproductive health with special emphasis on girls and women. WHARC works in 18 Nigerian states, with headquarters located in Benin City, Edo state.

Job Title: Program Officer (Research & Documentation)

 

Location: Benin City, Edo state

 

Working under the supervision of a director, the Program Officer will contribute to the operation of the centre’s research activities, coordinate/manage research projects, produce documentation and timely reports on projects being managed.

 

The principal responsibilities include knowledge management, research support, program coordination and report writing.

 

Person Specifications

  • Possession of Masters in Public Health (MPH) or M.Sc in Public Health.
  • Previous experience working in maternal and child health programs will be an added advantage
  • Ability to use statistical tools for data analysis
  • At least two years’ job and employment experience.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
