Professor Cyril Obiajulu MOKWENYE is a Professor Francophone Caribbean and African Literatures at the University of Benin, Nigeria. He was educated at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and the University of Bordeaux, in France. Professor Mokwenye, who has been associated with WHARC for over twenty years, is the Centre’s official translator of abstracts of articles published in her highly reputable journal, the African Journal of Reproductive Health. An experienced professor, he is a former Head of the Department of Foreign Languages at the University of Benin and a former Dean of the Faculty of Arts of the same University. Professor Mokwenye served as Deputy Director of WHARC from 2004 to 2010 and Executive Director from 2010 to 2015.
