
Professor Olufemi Olatunbosun
Professor Olufemi Olatunbosun (Male). He is a Professor-Emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Saskatchewan Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada. He has been Chair of the Saskatchewan Section of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Sessions Management for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He served as ad hoc consultant to United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and is currently a Trustee of the Commonwealth Medical Trust, a United Kingdom-based organization that actively promotes Sexual and Reproductive Health, Reproductive Rights and Reproductive health education in developing countries./ Professor Olatunbosun is an international champion of reproductive health research and education and has pioneered surgical techniques for treating recurrent mid-trimester pregnancy loss (rescue cervical cerclage; abdominal cerclage), and was one of the early pioneers of Assisted Reproductive Technologies in sub-Sahara Africa. He introduced colposcopy and cytological screening for cervical cancer to Nigeria where he pioneered cryosurgery for treating pre-invasive cervical neoplasia.
