Juliet Omokaro

Program and Research Officer

Juliet Omokaro is a dynamic and results-driven professional with considerable experience in program management, research and evidence-based advocacy, specializing in sexual and reproductive health and rights, and education of the girl child. As Program and Research Officer at the Women’s Health and Action Research Centre (WHARC), she oversees youth-focused programs, coordinating research, evidence-based advocacy, and youth empowerment initiatives. Her leadership has driven workshops addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and raised awareness of the VAPP Law, fostering societal change and improving the health outcomes of young people. Juliet holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from the University of Ibadan (2018), and a BSc. Ed in Biology from Obafemi Awolowo University (2015) and pursuing an MSc in Reproductive Health from the University of Benin. She received the 2018 Distinctive Extended Essay Award for exceptional research at the University of Ibadan. Complementing her formal education, Juliet has completed specialized training in gender issues, community engagement, maternal and child health and occupational health safety.
